Chaksarn bags are a combination of the traditional Thai materials with genuine leather. High-quality leather is beautifully enhanced by adding hand dyed and woven straw mat.

Leather and woven straw can be damaged by exposure to extreme heat, sunlight or moisture. Ideally you should keep your bag in a fabric dust bag and then store it in dry place.
Clean before storing. Mould may appear if storing in a humid storage as it is a natural material. If this happens bring your bag to a dry place. Remove the mould (fungus) by brushing it gently before applying specialist leather lotion or wax.
Cleaning:Clean gently with soft brush and dried cloth.
Maintenance:Apply mink oil on a dried clean cloth and wipe it to the body and leather gently. Let the leather absorb the oil for bit before polishing. Regular treatment will help preserve leather and prevent mould.
NO. This might do instant damage to the woven straw and saturating leather causes it long term damage and will irrevocably shorten the life of the item.
Although the water or rain does not do the instant damage to the bag, we recommend that you avoid getting your Chaksarn bag wet or saturated with water.
If your bag does become very wet you should stuff it with paper towel or dry clean cloth. Then dry the bag with the air blower but avoid using high heat.
Both woven straw and leather have around 5-10 years lifetime depending on usage and care.
Water sedge that we use has pretty shiny surface which makes it difficult to dye and colour. To prevent colour falling to your cloths, please avoid direct contact with white or light colour cloths. The loss of colour will fade or stop after a few uses. In case the colours transfer to your cloths, please note that it can be removed or cleaned with regular wash.
We currently use chemical dye to make sure the fixation of the colour. Natural dye is still being researched. We will implement it as soon as it’s successful.
All international orders placed on our website will be shipped via DHL Express. It takes approximately 2-5 business days to reach your door.
For Thailand Domestic orders, we ship via Thailand Post, Alpha Fast and Flash Express. It only takes 1-2 Days.
For all domestic orders, the shipping fee is 100 THB/Bag.
For international orders, we use DHL Express. The shipping fee will depend on the size of the box and also the destination countries. The fee is around 1,000 - 2,000 Baht/shipment. The shipping fee will show on your checkout page. It will be calculated based on your bag and the shipping address.
